Are you happy now Annie, you made me tear up. Fab bit of writing, this. You should send it out. I love it.

Lovely. I especially like the description of a typical morning in the kitchen. So sad.

This is was so wonderfully visual. The description was so apt in showing how isolated the character had become. Poignant.

That was really enjoyable.

Great writing as usual. I could almost hear the steam screaming and smell the tea. This weeks prompt is turning out a lot of variety.

Potent piece here. I can seen this being something that shapes her for the rest of her life.

Spot on sketch.

Although she's devastated at being left behind, i wonder if the father has an inkling that she'd like to go. Very nice piece.

Beautiful. Particularly powerful in that it would seem the sib knew what it meant to her while the father was oblivious.

Nice job getting inside the child's head and taking us along.

I'm seeing the scene in my head as I read, and I recall something from my own childhood. Great piece that evokes lots of emotion.
